wow

I didn't ever think that the phrase 'sounds nice' and the word 'vuvuzela' once will appear in the same sentence :)
Nice job with the sample packs, we appreciate.

Thanks for the review :)

nice sound

hi,
well im not into making dnb really much, so maybe my review is useless lol. what i liked about it is the overall feeling and the setup of how it sounds. tempo changes were unexpected but fit in well. what i didnt like : the drums at the beginning sound a bit off (maybe the echoes are too loud i dont know).
Definitely not 0.56 ...im starting to hate this site:/
keep it up:)

eatmeatleet responds:

I agree, I listened again and I find some mistakes. I actually wasn't able to fix them all..

cool

Pluses:
-interesting chord progressions
-sick rythm
-variety
Minuses:
-just one, the ending lead - its nice, but it stands out from the mix way much, you should silence it a bit imo

loved it:)

man that was crazy

Ok, first dont listen to the guy below, he's just more comfortable with other music styles i think, no offense. It's only a matter of taste.
That song is epic, it's so rare and nice to see people let their insanity take over, lol. The drums sound a bit drum-machine like, maybe by replacing the crash sound would help. But other then that, i cannot really say bad about it.
gj, do more like this:)

your story

Hey, its nice of you to make those scenes for ppl, and as you have some music around too, i think u deserve a story :)
About the music: i see you just began, so what i would advise is to look around a bit, listen more music and try to find the sound you like in them, then focus on recreating the sound...don't have to start with a full song, try just short loops and try to make it live by adding more details. For example, this song could have a much richer feeling by simply playing chords instead of simple notes - try experimenting with this.
Ok, now here is your story (well im not pro with english, but try to do my best:)
We are at a funeral on a rainy autumn day. The grave is mostly sorrounded by gang members - although they are wearing suits, you can see some tattooes and even the silhouettes of some guns under their clothes. Every one of them is shocked by the loss, as the camera goes from the back rows closer to the grave, you can see tears dropping on some faces. The camera stops showing the face of the leader. You can see the mixture of anger and sadness on his face, as the muscles tighten on his neck and trying to stop himself to burst out in tears. His lovely sister was killed in a firefight, and he can hardly stay at the funeral as every thought he has now is revenge. He does not have to wait for too long.
Suddenly a loud noise of braking cars can be heard. The preacher stops his speach and every face turns backward to see the source of the disturbing noise. The camera shows everything in slow motion from now, as members of the enemy gang jump out of the vans and open fire on the first row of the crowd. Peoply slowly fell and blood splatters from their wounds. The others also take out their weapons and a chaotic showdown begins, where each side gets killed rapidly. From the middle of the crowd a grenade flies in the direction of the cars, you can see the recognition in the eyes of a fellon, when the grenade reaches the ground in front of him, then fire and smoke covers everything when a nerby car explodes.
At the end when the smoke clears, only the two leaders stay alive, and as they slowly fire their guns at the same time, the screen fades to white....

hope u enjoy:)

GAT-X3000 responds:

Wow, I couldn't have imagined that someone could create such a cool scene with such a sh*t song :P
Hey man I really appriciate the gesture, and in the future, if you create more scenes to other people's songs, please tell me, I'de be very curious in reading them.
Cheers,

GX3

nice one

Hey, you should write more songs, that was great. I like the sounds you selected. The middle part is very intense, it would fit well the fight scene. It reminds me a bit to a cleaner version of an Amon Tobin track (that featured in Splinter Cell, maybe you played the game).
good job:)

Hello palee81, thank you for kind words :)

killer song

Okay, at 1:00 i imagined i stand on a field, the sun shines lightly and a slow wind blows, and at about 3:30 i get in a harvester and i go through a bunch of zerobombers:)
Cool track, hope I hear some more from you (do u wanna check out my stuff? its partially your fault that they exist, lol)

gogo MJ!

cool stuff

Oh man, I was going to do the same thing for my friends for Christmas, but now i dont know...and a guy just posted 10 different versions of jingle bells...only oh'tannenbaum remains :)

but seriously, this is a great piece, and i cant really say anything that should be changed. you are one of the musicians here that make ng a nice place to go to
keep it up:)
